B A L A N C E

working on finding the balance between work and life. haven't quite found it yet. and then throw moving into the equation and i'm in trouble. i do have high hopes for balance in april, however march is a different story.

luckily i love all of the projects I am working on and I am learning something new everyday. so i can't really complain. but i do think i need a day at the spa getting mud on my face and drinking cucumber water. i can probably convince
jen to go with me.

oh and angela took this picture of me. she appreciates fuzzy hair.

Man, I'm with you! Bonkers crazy with work, dishes won't do themselves, somehow maintaining high hopes that I didn't overbook myself for April. Good luck getting your projects done. Hope you get that day at the spa!

My advice would be to trim those scraggly ends! You'll feel (and look!) tons better.

John, I'm definitely a (ahem) couple years older than our sweet Bri here... and I am STILL struggling with the whole "balance" thing. Care to enlighten us as to just WHEN this whole thing will balance out?! ;)
Hang in there, B. April, April, April!
(and yes, enjoy the work. You're young & fabulous. have some cocktails and live on no sleep. for those of us who don't do it often or well enough anymore... :)

I hear you on finding a life work balance.. Its a constant struggle when you love what you do and are blessed to be able to do it all the time.

And just for the record to the anonymous comment leaver get some balls and stop hiding behind your computer... Thats all!

oh I feel you bri and on top of that we haven't even done our taxes yet! eeep! there's lots to do and trying to figure out which takes higher priority requires objectivity which I don't. hey at least you have the time to do your hair. ;)

awww.....take care of yourself, but remember - a bit of imbalance can be a good thing (creatively) too! and, I need to tell you how much I look forward to your posts - so inspiring for designers!

Hey Bri, this is exactly how I've been feeling too! When I'm close to freaking out I remind myself that I'd much rather be frantic doing my own thing than bored senseless working in an office for someone else - it tends to help. Good luck, and love your hair! x

the work/life balance is definitely a tricky thing to perfect. but, i think, the first step to working on it, is noticing it in the first place...

great blog! glad i found you.
cheers,

I've learned that sometimes you need to just step away from everything even if it means postponing a project or two. Take a break. Do something else for a bit and then come back refreshed.... hopefully. Good luck!

I have this same problem! So much so that I often dream about cloning myself!
