H E A L T H / K I C K

so the sun starts to shining and my body is like, 'hey bri, i don't think i want you to eat a buncha potatoes and cheese bread anymore, i think it's vegetable time. can we arrange that?'

so i listen. been stocking up my fridge with an abundance of brussels sprouts, quinoa, broccoli...the whole nine. hey, there is a pool on my roof now! and polkadot swimsuit weather is upon us, people!

loving this adorable video on how to cook quinoa! and her blog, my new roots, is pretty fantastic and makes me feel healthier just looking at it!

I know, swimsuit season snuck up on me (and my body) too! I have been dieting for the past couple of weeks and it's torture! Got spoiled with all the baked goods, pasta and french fries I've been eating since November:/ Will try out this recipe, thanks for sharing:) XO

Making the change from cold weather comfort foods to healthier, more bathing suit friendly foods is so difficult! Thanks for the adorable video :)

OMG! I know Sarah Britton! How cool to see you linking to her blog! She is, hands down, the most radiantly healthy person I have ever met. Her eating habits are insane-- sooooo healthy. I often ask myself, "What would Sarah Britton eat?" when I am tempted by something terrible for me (refined sugar, anyone?).

She is also a ridiculously nice person. :)

The weather has been making me feel the same way too! I've been rather indulgent lately with all my meals but it's starting to make me feel a little too stuffed. I really want to try making this collard wrap!

so, i love brussel sprouts. it makes me happy that you like them too! i feel like I never know of anyone who does. the best is boiling them first and then throwing them in a skillet with some olive oil and chopped garlic til they are nice and crisp. deeeeelish.

love your blog!

Hey Bri,
I love your blog and have been trying to get to the beginning, but you don't seem to have an archive! Is there an easy way to start from the beginning of your blog?

Oooooh man I can totally relate. Why do smores and cookies and macarons and french fries and mac and cheese and chocolate look so extra delicious after a few days on quinoa/spinach/tofu?

Loveeee quinoa. That video was so great! I've never tried any other color of quinoa than the regular one, which is white I believe? I feel like I should branch out :)

What a lovely video!! I love quinoa! I make what I call "Incasian saute", it's kind of chop suey, but instead of soy bean sprouts I use cooked quinoa. Yum! Besos et bon week-end!
