well guess what! today is designlovefest's very first giveaway! Vicki was sweet enough to give one DLF reader this bag! all you gotta do is leave a comment in the box with your 2011 new years resolution by january 7th, and I will pick a winner at random the next week!

UPDATE: Congrats to Jaimi Brooks from Los Angeles, CA!

you can also see the rest of their cute bags here, that red + white stripey is so cute too! perfect for the beach!

I moved to the city because I wished to live deliberately.

It’s January 5th and I still haven’t posted my New Years resolutions.. perhaps my first resolution should be to do things in a timely manner. Unlikely though.

Anyway, I have the same general resolutions that I think I always have. Eat well, exercise more, drink my 8 glasses of water, and be kinder. My most important resolution this year though is mindfulness. This includes being more conscious of myself, my thoughts, my work, my overall well-being, and especially my interactions with other people. How I treat others, how they treat me, and how I feel about my friendships and relationships. I’d like to be more mindful and aware in my everyday life, while also allowing everyday situations (especially ones of little importance) to affect me less. I sweat the small stuff hardcore, and I need to stop.

I will make an effort to be more in touch with myself through reflection, new activities, and less online tv (had to throw that one in there). 2010 was a year of discovery, persistence, moving on, and new situations and environments. 2011 will be a year of reflection and greater consciousness.

Happy 2011 everyone!
