so we got impatient. our official move in day is supposed to be tuesday, but we already had the keys! so that was torture. so after a yum vegetarian meal at Bulan, we headed over to the new place with blankets and that 60's film Blow Up - which by the way is totally amazing and beautiful - and lit up the christmas lights for our first night at home. i woke up all giddy to watch the sunrise out our big huge windows and watched the cars drive over the bridge. so peaceful. i know, i'm getting all sentimental on you! but it's such a special time for me in life, so just let me be cheesy for a second ok?
the other night we went to The Living Room - oh which reminds me, I need to show you our new couch we got from there! - yep, we pulled the trigger on this good lookin tweed couch...
ok ok back to The Living Room. we went there for drinks and a little showing of an interior designer at the store, erika winters. we put our names in the drawing to win a free interior consultation and voila! we won! what perfect timing!

oh i love this! my bf and i did the same thing when we moved into our place a few months ago - new homes are just too exciting to wait for furniture/moving! your first night at your loft sounds amazing - xmas lights and sunrises!

Oh, this looks sooo familiar. My husband and I recently moved into a new house and enjoyed a similar moment of excitement (and strangely, peace) before the chaos of the move.
